Organized work environment paves the way for another successful project

The completion of the Icon 4 project is a shared achievement worth celebrating across Piikkio Works. A successful project requires the contribution of every employee, and we want to extend a big thank you to everyone in our organization for their dedication and hard work.

Our focus is already on what comes next, as this week we started the cabin production for Icon 5. Moving from one project to another is always an important moment, allowing us to carry forward the experience and lessons learned from the previous project.

 – The long production series of Icon-class ships has enabled us to continuously develop our expertise, processes, and ways of working together. With every completed ship, we build an even stronger foundation for the successful delivery of the next project, says Heikki Sillanpää, the Senior Project Manager.

 Our shared clean-up day was a fitting way to start this new chapter. The traces of the previous project are cleared away, making room for another successful one.

Clean-up day supports our HSEQ goals

Throughout the day, we cleared, stored, and recycled unnecessary items from both indoor and outdoor areas of our factory. We also enjoyed lunch together and received an update on occupational safety.

– Unnecessary items around workstations can increase safety risks by creating tripping hazards and obstructing safe movement. A clean, organized, and consistently maintained industrial work environment supports a safer workplace, reduces the likelihood of incidents, and contributes to efficient operations and high-quality results, says Head of HSEQ Johanna Lehtinen.
